Almaden 2025 Fall Competitive

Almaden Valley 2025 Fall Season

A competitive indoor full-court basketball program. This program consists of AAU Club teams.

  • AAU Basketball, 9U to 16U Club Teams (Sep-Nov)
  • AAU-level Competitive teams that will start practice on August 25th
  • 2-3x practices per week - SJUSD indoor courts
  • Team shirt and swag
  • Teams will compete in 5 tournament weekends from Sep to Nov
  • AYB Uniform at extra charge

Teams are formed by age group. Mandatory try-outs required for each team (location provided to registrants)
  • High School JV Girls: Wednesday August 13th 8:00pm - 9:00pm
  • 14U Girls: Wednesday August 13th 7:00pm - 8:00pm
  • 12U Girls: Wednesday August 13th 6:00pm - 7:00pm
  • 14U Boys: Monday August 11th 7:45pm - 9:00pm
  • 13U Boys: Tuesday August 12th 7:45pm - 9:00pm
  • 12U Boys: Monday August 11th 6:30pm - 7:45pm
  • 9U Boys: Tuesday August 12th 6:30pm - 7:45pm

Almaden Youth Basketball follows the AAU 2025-2026 season AGE/GRADE requirements
14U/8th grade:
  • Age Policy: An athlete can be no older than 14 on or before August 31, 2026
  • Grade Policy: An athlete who is in the 8th grade as of October 1, 2025 and who is no older than 15 on or before August 31, 2026, is eligible to compete in the 14U/8th Grade division.
13U/7th grade:
  • Age Policy: An athlete can be no older than 13 on or before August 31, 2026
  • Grade Policy: An athlete who is in the 7th grade as of October 1, 2025 and who is no older than 14 on or before August 31, 2026, is eligible to compete in the 13U/8th Grade division.
12U/6th grade:
  • Age Policy: An athlete can be no older than 12 on or before August 31, 2026
  • Grade Policy: An athlete who is in the 6th grade as of October 1, 2025 and who is no older than 13 on or before August 31, 2026, is eligible to compete in the 12U/6th Grade division.
11U/5th grade:
  • Age Policy: An athlete can be no older than 11 on or before August 31, 2026
  • Grade Policy: An athlete who is in the 5th grade as of October 1, 2025 and who is no older than 12 on or before August 31, 2026, is eligible to compete in the 11U/5th Grade division.
10U/4th grade:
  • Age Policy: An athlete can be no older than 10 on or before August 31, 2026
  • Grade Policy: An athlete who is in the 4th grade as of October 1, 2025 and who is no older than 11 on or before August 31, 2026, is eligible to compete in the 10U/4th Grade division.
9U/3rd grade:
  • Age Policy: An athlete can be no older than 9 on or before August 31, 2026
  • Grade Policy: An athlete who is in the 3rd grade as of October 1, 2025 and who is no older than 10 on or before August 31, 2026, is eligible to compete in the 10U/4th Grade division.
