Almaden 2025 Spring Competitive

Almaden Valley 2025 Spring Season

A competitive indoor full-court basketball program. This program consists of two groups - All-Star teams and Club teams.

All-Star Teams (Feb-Mar) - only open to Winter 2024-25 Divisional players

Competitive teams that will start practice on Feb 3rd (2x practices per week on a more consistent schedule)
Teams will compete in 2-3 tournaments in March 2025
Note: travel tournament (Sacramento, CA) required on March 15-16th 2025
Boys and Girls team will be formed by AYB Division; D1 (7th & 8th), D2 (5th & 6th) and D3 (3rd & 4th)
AYB coaches will nominate players to tryout for these teams
For players who are nominated, parents should receive a try-out invitation by Wednesday Jan 8, 2025
NO TRY-OUT FEE - Only open to AYB Winter 2024-25 Divisional players
PLAYER REGISTRATION FEE: $30 to pay for all-star team shirt once player accepts position onto team
Mandatory try-outs to be held during the week of Jan 13-17, 2025

AAU Basketball Club Teams (Feb-May) - tryouts are open to all

AAU-level Competitive teams that will start practice in Feb 2025 (1-2 practices per week)
Access to a dedicated Skills Coach will be available, in addition to the team practices
Teams will compete in 7-8 tournaments from March to May 2025
Note: travel tournament (Sacramento, CA) at end-April AND travel tournament (Reno or Las Vegas, NV) on Memorial Day weekend
PLAYER TRY-OUT FEE: $20
PLAYER REGISTRATION FEE: $1200 due once player accepts position onto team (+$100 uniform fee)

AAU Basketball Club Tryout Dates (location provided once you register to tryout):
